Chevalière – Dragon Claw – Guardian of Hidden Knowledge – Blue Apatite.
Ancient strength & Mastery of inner power.
In mythological tales, the dragon appears as a powerful creature, guardian of treasures and hidden knowledge. Its claws symbolize strength, mastery, and protection of what holds valuable worth.
This boldly characterized signet features a richly workmanlike body, crafted in relief in an alloy with a golden finish.
Its setting develops an universe directly inspired by the mythical dragon: the flanks are traversed by scaly motifs and stylized ornamental compositions, while several claws emerge around the bezel.
At the center, the dragon’s claws seem to seize and protect a blue apatite, cut as an oval cabochon. This arrangement gives the impression that the stone constitutes the treasure guarded by the creature.
The stone presents a smooth, glossy surface as well as a remarkable range of hues from turquoise blue to azure and deep blue. Its veining and darker branches traverse pale, slightly cloudy blue areas, giving the cabochon a deep and singular look. Depending on orientation and light intensity, its different shades become more or less apparent.
The reliefs on the flanks extend this aesthetics: scales, claws, textures and stylized botanical ornaments follow one another on a particularly detailed setting. The contrast between the golden finish and the intense blue of the cabochon accentuates the imposing character of the piece.
