Description from the seller

Relic of St. Luke’s Cloth. With Wax Seal and Silk Threads. Shipping is free for the EU area; outside the EU area it will be shipped with Poste Italiane.

Luka (in ancient Greek Λουκάς?, Lukás; Antioch in Syria, around 9 – Thebes, around 93) is traditionally considered the author of the Gospel according to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, the third and the fifth book of the New Testament. He is venerated as a saint by all Christian churches that acknowledge veneration of him.

His emblem is the bull: the attribution has various interpretations and traditions; according to Saint Jerome and Bishop Vittorino of Petovio (+304) it is due to the fact that in his Gospel he introduces as the first character Zechariah, father of John the Baptist. This man, being a priest of the temple, offered sacrifices of bulls.[1]

The reliquary does not contain human remains.

This object is offered exclusively for its historical, cultural, or decorative value. No religious significance is claimed, implied, or supported.
