Stained glass window - Frans Van Vlodrop - 1960-1970 - The Spinster (La Fileuse)

Very beautiful decorative stained-glass panel to hang depicting a traditional Flemish interior scene: an old woman focused on her spinning wheel (The Spinster), surrounded by rustic furniture, a skein of wool, and a pendulum clock. This high-quality work is an emblematic creation of the Belgian glass artist and painter Frans Van Vlodrop (active in Dessel after 1971), renowned for his nostalgic genre scenes inspired by the Dutch and Flemish masters of the 17th century. Technique: traditional leaded stained glass, painted in grisaille and with colored enamels, with superb finesse in the details and the contrasts of light.
