This scarce copy, offers guide to Moscow with details of the history, impressions, the Kremlin, the treasury, galleries, walls, churches, and social characteristics.
First published 1912. Beautifully and colourfully illustrated with 16 monochrome plates, fold out map of Moscow in the back of the book, and 16 fine colour plates, painted by the French painter and illustrator Frederic de Haenen. Text by H. M. Grove.
Published by Adam and Charles Black, London, 1912. Publisher’s original Blue cloth with gilt titles and light blue decorations on spine and upper board. Top page edges gilt.
Book Dimensions: 22.5 x 16.5 cm and Number of Pages: 142 including index + 2 pages ads
Condition
Firm, and well bound copy. External covers in nice shape, slightly faded, and with light wear to corners, and to head of the spine. Internally the book is in good condition. No names or inscriptions. Light foxing marks to the margin of some pages and page edges. The folding map is complete and in excellent condition (Please see pictures).
