Original oil painting on panel by the French Orientalist Bruno Retaux (born 1907). Lively street scene in the medina of Marrakech with figures in traditional clothing. Signed lower left “B Retaux”. Studio stamp and inventory number (N°201414) on the reverse.

Retaux is a listed artist and was friends with André Hambourg and Maurice Boitel, both recipients of the Prix Abd El Tif for Orientalist painting in Algiers.
