This is not a lightweight trinket box, but a particularly robust and sturdy specimen. The chest is made of solid mahogany and has a beautiful deep reddish-brown glow. · Authentic details: The chest has a classic lock with matching latch and the inscription "BRITISH 1929 AUTHENTIC" on the front, indicating English origin or inspiration.
· Condition: The chest is in good, used condition with normal signs of aging that enhance its history and charm (see photos for an honest impression).
