Fred Anselm (1922-2005) - Expressives Blumenstillleben

Oil painting on canvas

Expressive still life of flowers

This is an oil painting by the German painter and graphic artist Fred Anselm (1922–2005), who studied, among others, in Paris with Dietz Edzard and with Emil Nolde.

The oil painting:

A lush, densely arranged bouquet of yellow, red, and white blossoms

It is dominated by a strong, high-contrast triad of the primary colors blue, red, and yellow. The color palette is intense and emotionally charged, rather than accurately reflecting reality.

Dimensions of the painting: 50 cm x 60 cm
