MiLo - KUBOLA - XXL

MiLo (1976), Netherlands — Kubola

A bold figurative abstraction built from strong black shapes, warm sandy tones and loosely painted white fields. A face-like presence emerges from the composition without becoming fully defined, balancing somewhere between portrait, mask and abstract form.

The limited palette and graphic construction give the work a strong contemporary character, while the visible brushwork keeps the surface raw and expressive. Kubola has a slightly enigmatic presence, leaving space for the viewer to decide whether the figure feels familiar, invented or entirely imagined.

A striking statement piece that works particularly well in modern and minimalist interiors.
