Character of the work
The Last Passage depicts a solitary sailing ship traversing calm waters between monumental, almost unreal rock and architectural formations. A central arch creates a powerful passage, beyond which an illuminated mountain landscape opens, and a massive moon appearing on the horizon lends the scene a quasi-mystical character.
Golden light reflecting on the water guides the eye from the foreground toward the distant horizon. The contrast between deep, almost black parts of rock and structure and the intense golden reflections builds an atmosphere of mystery, monumentality, and quietude.
A sailboat sailing alone toward a monumental passage may symbolize a journey, crossing a boundary, or entering the unknown. The architecture seems to rise from the natural landscape, blurring the line between reality and the world of imagination.
The Last Passage does not present a single closed story. It is rather an invitation to one’s own interpretation – it could be an image of a road, a farewell, a transformation, or the search for a place located on the other side.

The work is executed on high-quality CANVAS canvas, 100% cotton, 360 g/m². It was created in an original process combining digital creation, composition, image editing, and working with light, color, and detail.
In the creative process, AI-based tools are also used as assistive tools for artistic work, as well as professional tools for digital composition, editing, working with layers and post-production.
Digital technologies, including AI, are a part of the contemporary artistic workshop. The final composition is the result of authorial selection, composition, editing, and multi-stage refinement of the image.
The work is sold without frame and crating.
