Het Nieuwe Testament Statenbijbel gouden slot, a leather-bound Dutch Bible edition from 1884, 520 pages, 13 cm high, 8.5 cm wide and 4.5 cm deep, published by Nederlandsche Bijbel-Compagnie; J. Brandt en Zoon; Johannes Enschedé en Zonen, in reasonable condition.

13hx8.5x4.5 cm. 429 grams.
Regarding a edition of the New Testament from the year 1884, printed by the Nederlandsche Bijbel-Compagnie. This concerns an official Statenvertaling, recognizable by the note that the text was translated from Greek on behalf of the States General of the United Netherlands and according to the resolution of the National Synod (the Synod of Dordrecht) from the years 1618 and 1619. The text at the bottom indicates that this specific edition was adapted to the language and spelling most commonly used at that time (in 1884). The edition was jointly produced by the well-known printers J. Brandt en Zoon from Amsterdam and Johannes Enschede en Zonen from Haarlem.
