Pair of Busts of Saint Peter and Saint Paul of Portugal – 20th Century

Elegant and rare pair of busts depicting Saint Peter and Saint Paul, petrified marmorina, a smooth and compact material, not plaster nor scagliola – therefore ideal also for outdoor display.

Both busts are mounted on fine marble bases in excellent condition. The sculptures show defined features and meticulous attention to detail, the work of an experienced hand, probably an Italian sculptor active in the mid-20th century (approximate period: 1940s–1960s).
