Yana Atchori - Silence

« Silence », 2026
Oil painting on canvas. Original and unique work.

« Silence » is an intimate portrait built around a silent dialogue between a young woman and a bird. The figure delicately holds a white goose, while their calm looks, directed in different directions, give the impression that time has stopped.

The contrast between the dark background, the light clothing and the white plumage underscores the dignity and inner strength of the character. The work evokes both silence, trust, vulnerability and protection. It does not tell a determined story, but invites each viewer to project their own emotions and interpretations onto it.

The classical composition recalls portraits of old masters, while the unexpected pairing of the young woman and the goose gives the work a contemporary, symbolic and memorable character.
