Antique pewter tray, probably Venetian, dating to about 1700–1750, measuring 40 × 31 cm (depth 2 cm) and silver-coloured, with Leone di San Marco and a small 'T' mark on the back; in good condition with patina, signs of use, and small fissures along the rim.
Description from the seller
Elegant antique pewter tray, of probable Venetian origin, characterized by a wide shaped and sinuous wavy rim with a raised profile.
On the back there are two marks: a figurative mark attributable to the Lion of Saint Mark, traditionally associated with Venice and the Republic of Venice, and a second small mark with the letter “T”.
According to stylistic characteristics, material and type of marks, the tray is attributed approximately to the 18th century, with possible production in the Venetian area.
The object presents a beautiful ancient patina and numerous signs of use consistent with its age. There are scratches, oxidations, surface wear and some small cracking in the edge area, clearly visible in the photographs. No recent restorations have been performed.

Provenance: Italy, probably Venice

Dimensions: 40 × 31 cm
