Old Greek icon "Resurrection of Christ" from the 20th century.
The icon was fully handcrafted on a wooden panel, in accordance with traditional methods of icon painting. This is a copy of the icon, or a work of contemporary art (see certificate on the back of the icon).
The icon is painted with egg tempera and gold.
A truly striking and exceptional icon with very detailed painting and many additional details (two more saints around Christ).
Perfectly harmonized color contrasts and successful shading. Especially striking are the faces and garments of the saints.
The icon is inscribed. The inscription is clearly legible. The icon is in good condition with typical, age-related signs of wear (see photos).
On the icon there are very beautiful and authentic age-related craquelure (crackle) apparent (see photos). Heavy and sturdy wooden panel.
