Description
In this work I have sought not to show, but to suggest. The figure, wrapped in its own silence, recoils toward darkness as one protects the most intimate from the gaze of others. The body, carved in deep grays and precise lights, does not reveal itself: it shields itself. In front of it, the dense and textured red is not decoration, but an imposing, almost threatening presence that marks the boundary between what is visible and what must remain hidden.
I deliberately worked extreme contrast: the naked, vulnerable flesh against the absolute abstraction of color. There are no concessions to ease or easy spectacle. Only the tension between what is hidden and what bursts forth. This piece does not intend to please everyone. It is meant for those who understand that the true luxury of art resides in what is not fully given, in what demands silence and sustained attention.
Hidden is not an image to be consumed at a glance. It is a presence that reveals itself only to those willing to look beyond the surface.

Alejandro Carballosa, Cuban visual artist and designer based in Spain, whose career is marked by the exploration of strength, emotion, and beauty in the animal and human figure. His work combines technical realism with a contemporary vision, where color, light, and movement acquire a symbolic and expressive language.
Trained in visual arts and design, he integrates the aesthetic sensibility of classical art with modern resources, creating pieces that balance energy and introspection.
His work has been presented in group and solo exhibitions, and is part of private collections in Germany and the United States.
