Antique Hand-Carved Wooden Tray with Rich Baroque-Style Foliate Carving - Tray - Wood

A beautiful antique wooden tray, dating from circa 1930, featuring exceptionally rich hand-carved floral and scrolling ornamentation around the entire raised border.

The tray has an elegant elongated shape with beautifully shaped ends and a warm, naturally aged wood tone. The extensive carved decoration is the main highlight, with detailed scrolling foliage and floral motifs worked into the surrounding frame and handles. The combination of the deep relief carving, flowing contours and naturally aged surface gives this piece a distinctive and authentic character.

The tray has a beautiful original aged appearance and patina. As clearly visible in the photographs, it shows various stains, areas of discoloration, surface marks and scratches, as well as several small age-related cracks and imperfections. These signs of age and use are consistent with its history and contribute to its authentic antique character. The tray remains stable and structurally sound.
