Dreaming Eye is a contemporary sculpture that explores the eye as a symbol of perception, consciousness and inner world. At first glance, the work presents itself as a complex geometric structure, but as the viewer's gaze travels through the composition, its elements converge into a recognizable image: an eye that seems to emerge from the very material.

The sculpture is entirely built in PLA (polylactic acid) and subsequently hand-intervened and finished with spray paint, establishing a dialogue between digital fabrication and the vocabulary of urban art. It is composed of 203 individual parallelepipeds, carefully positioned and joined to form a single three-dimensional composition.

The repetition of the 203 elements creates a tension between order and organicity. Each parallelepiped functions independently as a geometric unit, but it is only through its relationship with the others that the eye image becomes visible. The work thus transforms a seemingly fragmented structure into a coherent representation, reflecting the very functioning of human perception: we see the whole through the interpretation of the parts.

The use of different tones and finishes accentuates the depth of the composition and makes the sculpture transform as the viewing angle and light incidence change. The eye ceases to be merely a represented element and becomes a metaphor for what we see, what we think we see, and what remains hidden from our perception.

The Dreaming Eye thus positions itself between technology, matter and perception — a digitally possible construction, manually transformed and visually conceived to question who observes and who is, after all, observed.
