Paulémile Pissarro (1884–1972), son of the great Camille Pissarro, belongs to the famous impressionist artistic dynasty of the Pissarros. Raised in his father’s painterly milieu, he developed a personal landscape sensitivity tied to light, nature, and French river views. The work is signed “Paulémile-Pissarro,” depicting a suggestive autumn landscape along the Orne.

Oil on canvas depicting an elegant naturalistic glimpse near a body of water, with a tree in the foreground and autumnal vegetation. The painting stands out for a thick, lively brushwork, with visible impasto and a luminous rendering typical of the post-impressionist tradition. The composition is balanced, with good spatial depth and remarkable color sensitivity in greens, blues, and ocher-yellow tones.

Signed at the lower right Paul Émile Pissarro. On the back there are inscriptions and old labels. Oil on canvas, in a decorative frame.
