The work is an oil painting on card-mounted canvas, signed at the bottom right by Ciro Cipriani (1892-1963), dated 1963 on the guarantee certificate placed on the back.
The style is figurative and post-Impressionist in origin, characterized by rapid, textural brushstrokes. It depicts an urban scene with figures in motion along a city street flanked by buildings.
Ciro Cipriani (Terlizzi 1892 – Bari 1963), a well-known Apulian painter recognized precisely for his landscapes and scenes of daily life executed in oil, many of which are today housed in public collections such as Bari’s Pinacoteca Corrado Giaquinto. The year 1963 on the certificate indicates the year of execution, coinciding with the artist’s year of death.
