In this square format, PorcelainMuse presents a female figure in profile, head tilted in a calm and introspective pose. Her lowered gaze contrasts with the almost sculptural richness of her attire. Behind her, the hilt of a sword appears vertically, discreetly introducing the image of the Japanese warrior without breaking the serenity of the portrait.

The whole figure seems to have been shaped in white porcelain decorated with cobalt blue. The face is traversed by peonies and floral ornaments while the monumental hairstyle blends flowers, porcelain motifs and decorative elements. The garment extends this accumulation of details with landscapes, floral motifs and golden fragments that stand out against the various shades of blue.

The composition deliberately plays on an ambiguity between woman, sculpture and porcelain object. The light skin shows a subtle craquelure effect while the cobalt blue motifs seem to belong directly to its material. A few golden and red accents break the almost monochrome of the whole and attract the eye to certain details of the costume.

A work that is both delicate and powerful, where the imagination of Asian porcelain meets the contemporary figure of the warrior, conceived to bring a strong graphical presence to a collector’s interior.

About the artist and PorcelainMuse:

PorcelainMuse is an artistic universe developed around the meeting of contemporary creation and the aesthetics of Asian porcelain.

The work mainly explores blue and white, floral motifs, feminine figures, warriors, Kintsugi and traces of time. Each composition is digitally worked on a graphic tablet in order to progressively construct characters, motifs, materials, contrasts and decorative details.

Porcelain becomes a visual language: its beauty, its fragility and its imperfections allow addressing themes such as femininity, strength, transformation and reconstruction.

This work was manually created on a graphic tablet without the use of artificial intelligence, then adapted to its printing medium to become a physical piece intended for exhibition.
