A particularly decorative vintage globe from Editions RICO Florence, Made in Italy, dating from around the 1960s/1970s.
What immediately sets this globe apart is the beautiful tall wooden stand. The spun base and gracefully curved wooden meridian have a distinctly Art Deco-inspired design, giving the globe an elegant and almost sculptural look.
The globe features a stunning classic map image in deep blues, creams, yellows, and earth tones. The Dutch-language cartography is richly detailed with countries, cities, seas, and geographical descriptors.
