Japanese Seto-yaki "Mutoukan" Sencha Set (Five-Cup Set) with Original Wooden Presentation Box
This set comprises five cups, each featuring a unique hand-painted design of flora—such as pine, bamboo, chrysanthemum, and other botanical motifs—rendered in a free-spirited, expressive style with gold accents. Each cup presents a distinct scene.
The body and glaze feature a coarse, sandy texture with a grayish-white, granular finish that feels rustic and tactile to the touch—embodying the quintessential Japanese *wabi-sabi* aesthetic. The cups are substantial, offering a satisfying weight in the hand. They feature a classic *sencha* bowl shape (approx. 9.3 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height), ideal for enjoying *sencha* tea.
The base of each cup bears the hand-painted red mark "Mutoukan" (舞陶館).
