A second compartment with a hinged opening at the junction of the stem is dedicated to containing the matches.

Notable and natural signs of time are present: superficial wear to the goatskin lacquer, vintage patina on the brass elements, and minor visible conservation/restoration works. A deep cleaning of the interior on the bottom has not been performed, leaving this to the future buyer's discretion. Photos are an integral part of the description.
