Frame: Original black

Cassette frame from the 19th century with a narrow gold inner stripe, black-lacquered wood, with signs of age

Provenance / Rear:

On the back of the wooden panel there is a round red wax-and-lacquer seal with a crowned shield of arms (a cross shield, surrounded by two supporters), probably an Italian noble collection seal, presumably the Royal Galleria Sabauda, Northern Italy, 19th century.

Condition: The painting is in good condition. Cleaning could further improve its appearance (see photos).
Frame: The frame shows slight damage and is included as a free add-on.
