Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always guarded. What for decades had been “only” an excellent technique thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, demonstrating that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these, notable are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to a hallmark of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a life’s experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work sits perfectly in the lineage of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the resemblance to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. Small imperfections that may be observed are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
