AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Hot Days is an original contemporary figurative painting by artist Yana Medow, created in oil on canvas. The work portrays a glamorous woman relaxing by the water on a hot summer day, wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat, black swimsuit, pearl jewelry and striking red lipstick.
With its vibrant turquoise and green background, bold black shapes and expressive red accents, the painting captures the sensuality, heat and playful elegance of a Mediterranean summer. The exaggerated proportions and stylised anatomy give the figure a humorous, slightly surreal character, while the loose brushwork and vivid palette create a strong sense of movement and sunlight.
The woman reading by the water becomes an image of slow summer living, leisure and carefree pleasure. The combination of fashion, beach culture and playful body language reflects Medow’s contemporary approach to the female figure, where sensuality is mixed with irony and visual exaggeration.
A distinctive statement piece for collectors of contemporary figurative art, modern painting and Mediterranean-inspired artwork.
