Dish - Madonna della Seggiola - 30 cm - Ceramic

Elegant decorative plate (Cabinet Plate) in porcelain finely hand-painted, depicting the famous work by Raffaello Sanzio, the Madonna della Seggiola (kept at the Palatine Gallery of Palazzo Pitti in Florence).
Period: Early 20th century
Origin: Germany / Austria (Manufacture in the Vienna style)
Mark: Blue underglaze mark depicting the heraldic shield (Bindenschild / honeycomb-type mark Royal Vienna) present on the back.
Decoration: Central polychrome medallion of striking painterly quality. Rim in ruby red enamel (burgundy) enriched by rich floral motifs and gilded arabesques. Outer edge finished with a gilded cord with foliate motifs.
Condition: Good overall condition consistent with age. Slight superficial wear to the gilding and the painting, free of chips or visible cracks (refer to the close-up photos which are an integral part of the description).
On the back is the original cord for wall mounting.
