Description from the seller
Oil painting on canvas from a collection.
Hand-signed by the contemporary Italian-Spanish artist, Davide Serrano, and with a double gallery stamp.
Title: Despair and Freedom
Dimensions: 55x70 cm
Year: 2024
Davide Serrano is an Italian-Spanish painter whose research explores the fragile relationship between instinct and consciousness through the human figure and recurring symbolic presences, notably the eagle. His works fuse references to classical tradition with a contemporary pictorial language, where fragmented color, matter and monumental bodies generate a suspended psychological tension.
Between strength and vulnerability, Serrano's figures appear captured in moments of introspection, conflict or transformation, suggesting an inner dialogue between primal impulse and human awareness. His practice arises from a search for emotional truth, in which the body becomes at once subject and metaphor.

NB: The work will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
