Luca Cartoonist, registered name Luca Angelini, born in 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. A lifelong enthusiast of comics (Disney foremost), he graduated in advertising graphics from the Institute of Art in Ascoli Piceno, then completed his artistic studies with a degree in comics and illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite pursuing a different (yet still artistic) career, until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art.
He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting them and placing them within contemporary situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today.
He primarily uses acrylic colors, spray cans, and mixed techniques of printing and collage on canvas.
Since 2021, collaborations with several Italian art galleries, with his works participating in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and various group shows (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista…).
