Description from the seller
CONCEPT OF THE WORK
This work is born from the meeting of two fundamental artists and especially admired by HÖK Artist: Keith Haring and Piet Mondrian. Two seemingly very different languages that coexist here within a single composition.
The iconic heart inspired by Haring's universe becomes the point of union: its interior adopts Mondrian's geometry, black lines, and the characteristic primary colors. In this way, the heart functions as a metaphor for the love of art and for how different movements, eras, and styles can dialogue with and enrich one another.
The title “The Artistic Struggle Between Haring & Mondrian” sets forth an imaginary artistic struggle, but also a union: the spontaneity and energy of Haring versus the order and balance of Mondrian, faced and connected in the same work.
Original work painted by hand by the artist, reinterpreted from his own contemporary language through painting, grafitti, splashes, and gestural strokes.
