Description from the seller
CONCEPT OF THE WORK
This work is part of City Series, a collection in which HÖK Artist reinterprets some of the world's most iconic cities through his distinctive Pop Art language: black lines, vibrant colors, spontaneous strokes, and an optimistic, personal view of the urban landscape.
In this piece, Los Angeles appears as a place where city, ocean, and popular culture coexist under a single light. The legendary Hollywood sign, the skyline, the palm trees, and the Pacific coast blend with Pacific Park and its famous ferris wheel, located at the Santa Monica Pier, one of the great visual symbols of the Los Angeles coast.
The large heart floating above the city adds the emotional component of the work: Los Angeles is not depicted merely as a destination, but as an experience, an imaginary built between dreams, cinema, freedom, sun, and ocean. A celebration of that luminous California that is part of the collective memory.
Original work painted by hand by the artist, where architecture, nature, and recognizable symbols are transformed through color and the characteristic energy of HÖK Artist.
