Paul-Louis Morizet was a 19th-century French painter, best known for his landscapes. His works often depict the French countryside, riverbanks, lakes, forests or herds of animals in peaceful rural settings. He exhibited and sold paintings throughout his career, and many of his works still appear today in auctions and private collections. Museums in the Compiègne region also hold some of his views of the Oise and Pierrefonds.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris and was awarded an honourable mention in 1884.
Medal of Honour at the Soissons Exhibition in 1902 or 1904.

Paul Morizet also painted the famous Moulin de la Galette, like the well-known painting of Van Gogh and Renoir, Picasso, Pisarro, .... The Moulin de la Galette still stands on the hill of Montmartre in Paris. The original mill dates back to the 17th century. It has been restored and is now a listed historic monument
