Judaica - Complete 5-Volume Chumash / Torah Set (The Five Books of Moses) with Ornate Bezalel-Style Copper Relief Plaques & Embossed Leather Bindings - Aryeh Publishing House, Israel (ca. 1950s)
A beautiful, rare, and complete 5-volume vintage set of the Chumash (The Five Books of Moses), published in Israel during the mid-20th century by the renowned "Aryeh" Publishing House (Hraza'at Sfarim Aryeh).
Each volume features a classic, highly detailed repoussé copper-relief plaque on the front cover, executed in the traditional Bezalel Academy art style. These plaques depict iconic biblical and historical sites in Israel, accompanied by Hebrew inscriptions and "Jerusalem" / "Bezalel" markers.
The Five Volumes Include:
1. Bereshit (Genesis): Featuring Kevar Rachel (Rachel’s Tomb).
2. Shemot (Exodus): Featuring Mosheh (Moses holding the Tablets of the Law).
3. Vayikra (Leviticus): Featuring Migdal David (The Tower of David).
4. Bamidbar (Numbers): Featuring Kotel Ma'aravi (The Western Wall).
5. Devarim (Deuteronomy): Featuring Yisra'el (A symbolic biblical landscape of Israel).
Text & Commentary Details:
The inner text is printed in pristine traditional typography and includes:
