B. Morah, Bosque Ingrávido 120 XXL, acrylic on canvas, original edition, 100 x 120 cm, hand-signed, Spain, 2026, a surreal landscape inspired by Magritte.
Description from the seller
INGRAVID FOREST 120 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible into a single vision. In “Ingravid Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that ties them to the ground. The landscape becomes a stage for the improbable: a forest that is not held up by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is no coincidence: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air force us to rethink the concept of what is organic and what is stable, while the chromatic play —with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows— intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series poses essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can gravity-free imagery reveal another dimension of the landscape, one that is more emotional than physical? “Ingravid Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation act that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Ingravid Forest” already evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be.
