Chanel – Sunglasses 5076-H c.799/19, with case

Oversized rectangular frame in translucent dark smoke plastic, with blue gradient lenses. The wide temples feature large CC logos with an iridescent mother-of-pearl finish. The broad front and lateral detailing define the model's character.

Temple markings: «5076-H c.799/19 61□16 120» and «CHANEL MADE IN ITALY CE».
Imprinted measurements: 61 mm lens width, 16 mm bridge, 120 mm temple length. In the annotated photo, the width is about 17 cm and the height about 5.5 cm; these are indicative measurements reported in the photographic documentation.

Vintage front-frame sunglasses pre-2000, never worn, from a corporate liquidation at an optical shop that ceased activity. Equipped with new sunglasses lenses, CE marked. Slight superficial signs and scratches are visible on the frame and lenses; the case shows external scratches and abrasions. Non-use does not exclude the described conservation marks visible in the photos. Close-up photos allow assessment of condition, logos and finishes.

AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

Condition and authenticity verification are central to our activity. Gold and silver jewelry, silverware, watches, fashion items and accessories with logos are examined according to the characteristics of the individual item and the available documentation.

Any certificates or expert reports are provided when expressly indicated in the description or can be requested before bidding, agreeing on availability, content and any costs. Catawiki expert review is separate from our expert assessment and does not replace an individual certificate.

Description and photographs document the item offered, its accessories and stated conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of time and use are evaluated in relation to the nature, era and condition of the article. Photos supplement the description without limiting responsibility for inaccurate features or undisclosed defects.

Only accessories and documents expressly indicated are included. The brands mentioned belong to their respective owners; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization by the maison.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized using methods compatible with the materials and preservation, then carefully packed.

Shipping is trackable and insured according to the service conditions used. Items may be stored in different warehouses: expect approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for special destinations or customs delays. Shipment will occur within the terms defined by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not extend the shipping deadline.

Upon receipt, check the packaging. If there are dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We advise photographing the package before and after opening and keeping packaging, protective materials and label to facilitate any insurance checks.

The absence of a reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically waive consumers' non-derogable rights. In consumer sales, transport risk is governed by art. 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS

For any clarification or problem, contact us through the order messaging on Catawiki, indicating the lot number and describing what was found.

In case of damage, item not as described or missing content, promptly report the issue to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within 3 days as per platform procedure, to enable complaint handling and potential payment suspension.

This operational term does not imply waiver of the consumer's right of withdrawal or of the legal guarantee under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the buyer acts as a consumer and the legal conditions exist, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without reason within 14 days of receipt of the goods, pursuant to Arts. 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to statutory exceptions.

The decision must be communicated explicitly to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be returned within 14 days of withdrawal notice.

For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Legally due amounts, including standard initial delivery costs, will be reimbursed; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not due.

Refund is made without undue delay and within legal terms, with the possibility of withholding until receipt of the goods or proof of return, under applicable law. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to the respective competencies, without prejudice to non-derogable rights.

The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within the law.

LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY

In consumer sales, the legal conformity warranty provided by Arts. 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code applies, also for used goods, taking into account prior use and contractually declared characteristics.

The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable regulations.

If a conformity defect is present, the consumer is entitled to the remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or reduction of price or rescission of the contract when appropriate.

Our commercial preference is to resolve substantiated disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us under the law. Expenses for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM

Before performing repairs, restorations, adjustments or third-party interventions, contact us to verify the problem and agree on a solution. Unauthorized interventions may alter the original state, compromise assessments and affect liability for damages or defects caused.

Automatic refunds for interventions commissioned to third parties are not provided. The consumer's non-derogable rights remain: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself entail loss of protection for defects unrelated to the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with proper packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the proof of purchase. The original receipt is not the only acceptable means to prove purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE

For destinations outside the EU, including the UK, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the UAE, duties, taxes and clearance charges may apply, depending on destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due again.

When required, fiscal or identifying data may be requested for customs clearance. A passport number will be requested only if strictly necessary under applicable rules or the carrier’s or competent authority's documented instructions.

We invite buyers to check for import restrictions in advance. For items subject to specific regulations, including CITES or cultural goods, shipping remains contingent on the legal possibility of export and import and the necessary documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In remote sales of precious items subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is carried out according to applicable regulations.

If essential information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the transaction cannot be completed until rectified. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with Catawiki according to applicable laws and conditions, without automatic exclusion of liability.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, tax, customs purposes and other applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only necessary data will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention times.
