Lucien Ferriot, born November 22, 1905 in Paris, is a French landscape painter of the 20th century, mainly known for his classically inspired seascapes. Although he begins painting relatively late, in 1943, he quickly establishes himself in the art world by exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1946, an institution of which he becomes a member the following year. His work finds its main source of inspiration on the coasts of Brittany, where he faithfully captures the ports, the cliffs and coastal scenes, as in his depictions of Pointe du Raz or Île de Bréhat.
