This is a Japanese Matcha Tea Bowl – Stamped 'Shoun' (照雲) – with rough white feldspar glaze & rustic red clay base, showcasing a remarkable interplay between heavy glaze, dynamic brushwork, and raw, tactile clay.

Glaze & Texture:
The body is coated in a thick, milky-white feldspar glaze featuring a fine crackle pattern (kannyu) and natural pinholes (sugatai), strongly evoking the rustic elegance of Shino and White Hagi ceramics. The glaze has been applied with a dynamic technique, creating rich horizontal ridges (kushime / comb marks) across the exterior that give the bowl an extraordinary sense of movement and depth. Near the rim and upper body, subtle warm pinkish-orange undertones (hironi / fire marks) softly peek through the white glaze, adding natural warmth to its frosty appearance.
