AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
How much fun is this! A plexiglass bird automaton.
After winding the mechanism on the bottom, you only need to pull the handle and the birds come to life. They move cheerfully back and forth and, in the meantime, let out their songs.
The special thing about this cage is that the mechanism is completely visible. Through the transparent plexiglass you can see all sorts of gears, components and moving parts at work while you play. In fact, it’s not just an automaton, but a small mechanical spectacle as well.
The cage is in very good condition and the little birds function excellently. They easily reach the high notes and sound surprisingly clear.
A charming and special piece for lovers of mechanical automatons, birdcages and, of course, for collectors of music boxes and mechanical curiosities.
Seller's Story
We ship using Catawiki's Smart Shipping.
We mainly offer music boxes. These music boxes largely come from our own collection and are therefore almost never new. All music boxes have been checked by us and play well. Any deviations or defects are clearly stated in the advert text and in the photos. The photos are also part of the description. Even music boxes up to 150 years old naturally have some damage.
We are private hobby sellers. For our used music boxes we can therefore only offer door-to-door warranty.
Music boxes can be collected or shipped at your own risk. Music boxes do not like traveling very much. We pack the items carefully and ship them insured. If desired we can make a recording (for example via YouTube) of the music box. Please first check whether a recording is already available by searching for JaWo AmpTech.
We try to ship the order on the same day the payment is received.
A won lot can be returned within one week without giving a reason, provided it is returned in the same condition. After inspection, the auction fees and the return shipping costs will not be reimbursed and are the buyer's responsibility.
