Leonardo 1/2 size study cello with bow and case, new and tested and functional, includes bow, three items in total, weight 9.0 kg.
Description from the seller
Top: spruce
Back and sides: maple
Neck: hand-carved maple wood
Fingerboard and tuning pegs: hardwood
Bow: wooden rod, frog of rosewood
including bow
Size: 1/2 = size for people with an arm length of approx 48 to 60 cm
Set with cello, case and bow
The bridge is shipped loose to prevent damage during transport
The neck is under tension and can break under strong shocks or the bridge can tilt and cause damage
Placement of the bridge;
It is placed at the level of the protrusions of the F-pins (see also the photos)
- the bridge is slightly higher on one side (bass side) than the other
- keep the highest side on the bass side (the side of the thickest strings)
- then you can tension the strings by turning the pegs in the scroll, the strings will then hold the bridge in place
- during tensioning/tuning the bridge can tilt toward the neck, so constantly ensure it stays upright
- when tuning, push the end of the peg into the scroll so it grips (the pegs are conical)
Afterwards, optionally, with the separately supplied fine tuners the tuning can be adjusted further.
