Renata Masłyk’s Plaża is an original acrylic on board from the Color Box cycle, measuring 30 × 30 cm, finished with an American Box frame in the painting’s colors, signed by hand on the back and on the frame, created in 2026 and sold ready to display with frame.
Description from the seller
The Beach belongs to the Color Box cycle, in which small human silhouettes are placed in vast fields of color and texture. In this work, a small figure resting on a board is juxtaposed with a wide expanse of blue and the warm color of sand.
A small-scale figure is a deliberate element of the composition. A person becomes part of a much larger space, and their presence introduces a sense of movement and fleeting pause into the painting. The beach is not depicted realistically, but reduced to the most important elements: blue, sand, light, and a small human silhouette.
An important element of the work is the thick, hand-built paint texture. Layered acrylic creates a relief-like surface on which light changes the way the image is perceived. The texture gives the work depth and an almost sculptural character, while remaining an integral part of the composition.
The painting has been framed in an American Box frame, whose color extends the painting's palette. This makes the work ready for display without the need for additional framing.
