This painting presents an extensive rural landscape traversed by a path that leads to a country house in the distance. The scene opens to the viewer like an invitation to slowly walk the land, move through the fields and discover the dwelling that rises amid a wide and quiet surroundings. The composition conveys an intense sense of calm, isolation and connection with the earth.

The path starts at the lower zone and runs through the scene with an irregular trace, full of curves, stones and small color variations. Its presence organizes the entire composition and guides the gaze from the foreground to the house. The ocher, pink, brown and violet tones that appear on the path suggest dry, warm earth, marked by the passage of time and by those who have walked it before.

On both sides of the path grow grasses, shrubs and small plants freely distributed across the terrain. The vegetation is not neatly arranged, but naturally adapted to the landscape’s irregularities.
