Description from the seller

Art Nouveau Vase " Fleur de Lys " - Maison Massier, Vallauris

A spectacular piece of artistic ceramics from Vallauris - late nineteenth / early twentieth century

Beautiful monumental vase in enamelled earthenware, with a sculptural silhouette inspired by the fleur-de-lis, with a richly modelled plant decoration and a superb glaze with metallic and iridescent reflections.

The surface reveals a particularly deep palette combining copper brown, green, blue, bronze and golden reflections, with very beautiful light effects that vary according to the orientation of the room.
The shape, the relief treatment and the quality of the glaze are characteristic of the decorative research developed in Vallauris by the Massier workshops during the great era of artistic ceramics.

House / award: Massier, Vallauris

Time: towards 1890-1900

Art Nouveau / artistic ceramics

Material: enamelled earthenware

Decor: fleur de lilies motif and plant elements in relief

Height: approximately 42 cm

Width: approximately 32 cm

Mark: visible handwritten mark, including "A.M."
State: very good state according to the information provided

A particularly decorative and rare piece due to its format, sculptural presence and extraordinary iridescent glaze.

> Award to the Maison Massier proposed on stylistic and comparative criteria; precise identification

For a professional sale, I would position the ad around €3,500, with a reasonable margin for negotiation.

For a faster sale: 2 800-3 000 €.
