Five hand-made Turkish ceramic objects titled Ceramiche in stile Iznik in the Çini dynastic style, originating from Turkey and from a private collection, in excellent condition with original refurbished authenticity.
Description from the seller
These objects are splendid traditional Turkish handmade ceramics, commonly known as Iznik-style ceramics or produced in the renowned artisanal centers of Kütahya and Avanos. Main features of the figurines:
Style and decorations: They are characterized by a glossy white glazed background, enriched with relief floral motifs typical of Ottoman art, where the traditional red tulips, carnations, and sinuous leaves in cobalt blue and emerald green stand out.
The subjects depicted: On the left is the figurine of a spinning Dervish (Semazen), an iconic figure of the Sufi spiritual tradition associated with Mevlana Rumi. At the bottom center there is a small decorative dove/bird. In the center and on the right there are three iconic ceramic cats, portrayed in different poses (one seated with its paw raised, one seen from behind looking to the side, and one lying down in a relaxed pose).
