Description
Striking vintage ceramic vase/jug by Dümler & Breiden, West Germany, model 1124-33.
This unusual sculptural piece features a distinctive circular body with a large curved handle, pedestal base and expressive asymmetric spout. The front is decorated with a bold concentric relief in vivid red and deep black, creating a dramatic contrast with the textured beige-brown glaze.
The combination of its sculptural form, strong colours and characteristic glaze makes it a beautiful example of West German pottery / Fat Lava design from the second half of the 20th century.
The underside is impressed with GERMANY and the model number 1124-33.
