"Les Bains de l'Olympe" takes place in a marble pavilion suspended above the clouds, where tall arches open onto an endless sky and a low sun turns the horizon to gold. At the centre lies a round pool of clear, pale turquoise water, its surface scattered with rose petals and traced with lines of moving light.

One woman sits on the polished edge of the pool, her long curled hair braided with gold, wearing a translucent ivory gown fastened with gilded bands, her bare feet resting in the water. Her gaze is lowered, calm and distant. In the pool, a second woman with dark wet hair rests against the marble, her back turned, her face lifted toward the seated figure as if a conversation has just fallen silent. Water beads on her shoulders, and the ripples around her carry the light outward.

Urns of pale roses stand between the columns, candles burn along the balustrade, and gilded acanthus ornament climbs the marble edge in the foreground. The scene feels like an afternoon that belongs to no calendar, a private moment of rest between two figures who seem to have all the time in the world.

The artwork explores themes such as mythological retreat, the quiet between two people, the suspended time of golden hour and the meeting of marble, water and sky.
