"La Danse des Éventails" – Fine Art Giclée on Premium Cotton Canvas
"La Danse des Éventails" takes place beneath the carved wooden gate of a Japanese temple, framed by cherry trees in full bloom and, beyond them, mountains dissolving into morning mist. In the courtyard, stone lanterns glow softly against pale gravel and old paving stones, and the whole scene rests in a stillness that only the dancer disturbs.
A woman balances on one leg in the middle of a movement, one arm raised above her head with an open folding fan, the other extended to the side with a second fan, gold leaf and hand-painted blossoms catching the light. Her gaze follows the line of her arm, absorbed in the gesture and unaware of any audience. Her dark hair is gathered at the back of her head, and a few loose strands move with the turn of her body.
The kimono is the true protagonist of the composition. Deep crimson silk, trimmed in midnight blue and cream, falls open and streams behind her in a long, weightless wave. Across the fabric, white cranes fly over stylised waves in teal and gold, surrounded by peonies and red maple leaves, so that the garment seems to carry a landscape of its own. The movement of the cloth turns the dance into something visible, a drawn line of speed and grace suspended in the air.
The artwork explores themes such as movement and stillness, the discipline of traditional dance, the symbolism of the crane, the cherry blossom and the maple leaf, and the meeting between human body, textile and sacred architecture.

The creative process begins with an initial conceptual construction, where the central narrative and emotional direction of the composition are defined. Subsequently, the artistic vision is developed through Adobe tools, digital construction processes and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), adding depth, texture, light and structural refinement.
