Le Yack, Mouillage à l'ombre du mât – Hand signed, a giclée on canvas, edition limited to 20 numbered copies, with certificate of authenticity, 40 x 40 cm, produced in France.
Description from the seller
A white sailboat moored in a cove. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom, turquoise then deep blue. On the deck, a man reads, sitting in the shade carved by the shrouds. Above, the limestone cliffs blaze with ochre and pines.
It's the simplest luxury there is: a book, the lap of the hull against the hull, and no one to answer to. The blue shadows laid out in broad swathes recall the great colorists of the South.
A sunny, soothing canvas that smells of salt and holidays.
