"The Pop Art Icon's series" is conceived as an homage to the major names of the 1960s–1990s. Famous motifs are interwoven and reinterpreted. No. 2 is a reinterpretation of the famous "Numbers" by Robert Indiana, with Barnes playing with form modification through arbitrary motifs.
As a graduate of the Berlin University of the Arts, Toni Barnes has dedicated her oeuvre to sculpture. The theme of art in space, in 2D and 3D, is also reflected in her painting, which deals exclusively with the play of light and shadow. Barnes currently lives and works in Berlin.
