Fine Tuscan red wine IGT, a flagship of Lodovico Antinori's company. It is a great "Supertuscan" based on Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, aged 16 months in barrique. It has an intense ruby color, aromas of dark fruits, aromatic herbs and spices, and it is powerful, elegant and long-lived.
Main Characteristics:
Denomination: Toscana IGT
Grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot (with possible inclusion of Cabernet Sauvignon)
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Aging: 16 months in French oak barriques and a period in bottle
Appearance: Very deep and intense ruby red.
Nose: Direct notes of blueberry, blackberry and cassis, together with hints of fresh aromatic herbs, roasting, leather and licorice.
Taste: Powerful but wide-ranging, with velvety tannins, excellent freshness and a long, fruity finish.
Recommended Pairings: Substantial red-meat dishes, Roasts, Game, Aged cheeses
