Douhairet-Porcheret Meursault 2024, 0.75 litre bottle, 1 bottle.
Description from the seller
Proudly we introduce Domaine Douhairet-Porcheret, a domain with more than 350 years of history in the heart of Burgundy.
The Domaine has earned legendary status thanks to the work of André Porcheret, the grandfather of the current winemaker Cataldina Lippo. André was for years responsible for the wines of the prestigious Hospices de Beaune. A role reserved only for winemakers of the highest caliber. When the iconic Maison Leroy was looking for the best winemaker to, instead of buying grapes and wine as a négociant, make wine themselves as Domaine Leroy, they turned to André Porcheret. From 1988 André spent years crafting iconic wines from Leroy’s vineyards, such as Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Musigny and, of course, Clos Vougeot. Today these are wines at or even above the price level of Domaine de La Romanée Conti.
André has meanwhile transferred all his knowledge and experience to a new generation, so his granddaughter Cataldina and her husband Vincent are responsible for the wines of Douhairet-Porcheret. Located in the picturesque Monthélie, the neighboring village of Meursault.
This Meursault comes from the climats Les Millerands and Sous la Velle, situated on south-facing slopes that ensure ripeness and concentration.
